Chinese acupuncture as quit smoking method
Acupuncture is over 3,000 years old. It is an ancient Chinese method of medical treatment and pain relief. This method utilizes very thin needles to activate certain pressure points to achieve the desired effect. Acupuncture helps the body to relax and produce certain chemicals and flush out harmful toxins. These chemicals can give the smoker the same euphoric feeling they normally get from smoking.
In each of some sessions of acupuncture to quit smoking therapy the patient will have the acupuncture needles placed in strategic locations into the skin of hands, forearms and ears. The needles are left there for 30-60 minutes. At the moment of insertion some patients feel a slight pain, but it is said to last only seconds if any at all. The acupuncture to quit smoking therapy is said to be so relaxing that many patients fall asleep during treatments.
There is no medical evidence to prove that acupuncture works. However many people succeed with this method. Almost all reported successes stories are by people who have decided to quit smoking seriously, most of them had tried other methods without any success.
